Research themes

Structure and Functioning of Coastal Marine Ecosystems

  • Study of the interactions between biotic and abiotic factors within coastal ecosystems and their spatio-temporal variability through ecological modeling
  • Integration of physical processes (hydrodynamic and sedimentary) and biological processes (primary production, trophic interactions) influencing the dynamics of coastal ecosystems
  • Modeling the eco-physiological response of primary consumers to the spatio-temporal variability of trophic resource availability
  • Study of the structure and functioning of trophic networks (food webs) using isotopic tracing and integration into the ecological modeling of trophic networks

Keywords: Ecology, ecosystem modeling, physical-biological coupling, eco-physiological model, trophic network (food web), coastal ecosystems, stable isotopes
