Participation of Camille Carpentier in the MT180 competition

Summarizing three years of research in just three minutes: this was the challenge taken up by Camille, a PhD candidate at the MERSEA laboratory, as part of the “My Thesis in 180 Seconds” competition.

Her research focuses on the effects of offshore wind turbines on marine ecosystems in the English Channel. By creating new substrates colonized by algae and numerous species, these structures modify habitats and influence the functioning of marine ecosystems.

Her objective is to better understand their impact on primary production through scuba diving and laboratory analyses. A rewarding experience and a genuine science communication challenge.
