The project aims to continue the doctoral work of A. Marcout, completed in 2024, by updating the model used to predict squid recruitment in the English Channel. The first step will be to update the abundance index data derived from fishing activities, as well as recent environmental data from the Copernicus platform. The model will then be recalibrated over an extended period in order to produce forecasts for the current year. These results will be shared with stakeholders as well as with fishing professionals, who may then adapt their fishing strategies accordingly.
