MERSEA – Welcome Back! 🖋 Missions for the Week of August 31, 2026:

MERSEA Laboratory wishes you a great start to the new season ! 🖋💼

The start of the new season marks the gradual resumption of field missions, including a seaweed survey in deeper waters off Langrune-sur-Mer this Monday, August 31, and Tuesday, September 1 (Langrune), carried out by Anne-Marie RUSIG (MERSEA), Wendy DIRUIT (MERSEA), and Jérémy BENHAMOU (MERSEA).
As a reminder, as part of several research projects, we conduct monitoring and collection of seaweed populations, which involves field surveys on intertidal shores. Seaweed is collected mainly by hand. These intertidal areas are regularly visited by recreational fishers.
[Scientific assessment of algal species. Underwater observations, measurements, sampling, light handling, and photo/video documentation.]

More field missions to come in this post…
